I am Protected - Smudge Spray

I am Protcted has been created to be used as a space and energy cleansing spray. We have all experienced walking into a house or room where it just didn’t feel great, even if you can’t articulate the feeling, we have all felt bad vibes. Energy has a frequency to it and it moves through us, our surroundings and well, everything, it picks up on words, frequencies, symbols and vibrations. “I am Protected” smudge spray is inspired by the powerful herbs that would be burnt in ceremonies and healings from ancient times, being in a spray form for convenience, when say, maybe you can’t whip out your sage for burning in the office. I like to think of my smudge spray as an energetic pepper spray or energetic kung-fu. It’s perfect for new homes, old homes, offices, yoga and meditation spaces, before creative pursuits and even spraying over your body (avoid eyes and mouth - you know this, I know) if you’re feeling a little vulnerable and need a little more energetic protection. Let me tell you about who are involved here;

Black Snake Root (Black Cohosh); For courage, protection, excorcism and side note: protection against snakes.

Palo Santo; Palo santo is a type of wood that comes from the tree of the same name. It is indigenous to South America, and its name means “holy wood” thanks to the many healing and spiritual properties it carries. It’s a powerful energy clearer that also helps deepen your spiritual connection, raise your energetic vibration and enhance creativity.

White Sage; Created by indigenous Americans, it was originally the shamans who performed the sage smudging ritual, believing that it held the power to invoke the ancestral world while also absorbing any evils an individual in the community might be harbouring. This powerful scent of the ceremonial white sage may even evoke memories of past lives, long forgotten ancestry and/or a spiritual sense of home.

Cedarwood; Is known for it’s purification and protection properties in ceremonies and in oil form is also known as the oil of community, supporting us to see that we aren’t alone.

Lemon; Lemon is used for purification and cleansing properties. It has very detoxing properties to it for not only the physical body but the energetic body too. Known in oil form as the oil of focus.

Eucalyptus; So beautifully Australian (though I know is also found in India and America, we all used to be one so makes sense) eucalyptus wards off evil, isn’t that a comfort? In oil form it’s known as the oil of wellness.

Clove; This one is added for the empaths out there, clove provides some serious psychic protection and is known in oil form as the oil of boundaries.

Rosemary; Rosemary, and this might be my favourite, is used for protection and energetic exorcism. Rosemary ain’t messing about here. It’s known in oil form as the oil of knowledge and transition.

Amethyst; Purple is the colour of protection and this beauty of a crystal is fully charged by the full moon ready to ward off evil and add to the protection team.

Directions: To clear stagnant or unwelcome energies in new spaces, old spaces and unknown spaces. Ideal before ritual work or spiritual work, before meditation to keep your energy safe and protected, in offices and before any creative work. Spray your smokeless smudge around your body and in your desired space for energetic protective assistance.

What else can you do to cleanse and protect your energetic body? Reiki and Kineseology are powerful healing modalities, clearing blockages and traumas and to assist with everything flowing nicely. You can use the “I am Protected” affirmation and a white light visualisation; closing your eyes, visualise pure white light covering your entire body, allow it to create a bubble surrounding your body, a layer of protection. I like to white light myself and everyone I love in the mornings. Jumping in the ocean is also recommended.
