FAQ

  • We believe yoga and Pilates are for everybody. We strive to create a welcoming, relaxed, open and professional environment where every student feels comfortable. Our team is approachable and available to answer any questions about your practice. Communication is valued by us. Please approach us if you have any questions.

  • All your props are provided at State of Zen, however if you have your own mat/props you enjoy using, please bring along.

  • We have a shared toilet and shower facility with another business. This can be accessed through the back of the studio.

  • Wear comfortable clothes.

    Please bring a water bottle if you feel you will need it; we don't sell bottled water but have a water filter in studio.

  • f you have an injury, please get the all-clear from your doctor before attending our classes. Make the teacher aware of all injuries before the class. Listen to what your body is telling you and move accordingly. Please do not practise if you have a cold or flu, as you risk harm to yourself and others around you. Stay home and rest, and remember to cancel any class bookings. We are not able to restore credits or waive late cancel or no show charges for late cancels and no shows due to illness.

  • Our classes are regulated by the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (the Act). The minimum age required to attend classes is 16 years. Young adults between the ages of 16 - 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • Absolutely! 'Yin' is a great starting points for beginners. Please let the teacher know you are new to yoga and always practise at your own pace. Beginners course coming soon

  • Congratulations! If you already have a regular yoga practice, you can attend classes with us during this special time. However, we recommend that you check in with your doctor and get the all-clear to practise. Before any class, please let the teacher know how many weeks pregnant you are. They will discuss which poses you should skip and offer alternatives. If you have never practised yoga before, you will benefit more from a specialised prenatal class, which is coming soon.
